Orthopaedic Sports Injury Clinic
Although many sporting injuries do not require immediate review by an orthopaedic surgeon, prompt diagnosis and appropriate management of serious sports injuries reduces the risk of further damage occurring, accelerates the recovery and improves the quality of the repair.
We have created the Orthopaedic Sports Injury Clinic to accelerate the diagnosis process, including radiology, physiotherapy and specialist access, so that you can receive the correct injury management as soon as possible.
Access to this clinic does not require a GP referral. It is a physiotherapist run clinic, with immediate orthopaedic surgon input if needed.
How to access the clinic:
Call Prime Physiotherapy on 9600 8755 or 9602 2296 and ask to be booked in to see our physiotherapist at the Orthopaedic Sports Injury Clinic. The clinic is open on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Orthopaedic Sports Injury Clinic process:
You will initially see our physiotherapist who will assess your injury and provide you with the immediate management required. If radiology or a specialist review is required, it will be organised for that day or soon as possible, usually within the same week. If a specialist review is required, you will also need to obtain a referral from your GP.
